It is a cotton fabric, easy to carry on your body.
The fabric is handmade with love, no harsh chemicals were used while production.
PROCEDURE:
The fabric is soaked for a day and pre-washed to remove debris from the fabric. The fabric is then dried under the sun.
A smooth mud paste is prepared with calcium hydroxide, wheat chaff, mud, and gum. The mud paste is freshly prepared before every block printing.
The wood block is then dipped in the mud paste and pressed onto the fabric.
Sawdust is sprinkled on the fabric where the mud paste is applied. Then it is dried under the sun. The sawdust acts as a binder
The fabric is dipped in the dye (Indigo) solution and then again dried under the sunlight.
The process can be repeated several to give unique patterns.
The fabric is finally washed and dried and the final design of dabu/indigo print is ready.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
In the beginning, indigo/Dabu fabric leaves a blue mark on the surfaces or on the skin. After a few washes, it stops bleeding and it refreshes the color after washing from time to time.
Wash separately in cold water with mild detergent
air dry in shade, avoid exposure to direct sunlight
iron if needed

Please be aware that fabric pieces cut to a length smaller than five yards are unsellable to me. Consequently, I'm unable to accept returns for such small cuts. To ensure you receive the right fabric for your needs, I recommend ordering a sample size of 0.1 yards.
In the event that I do accept returns, it's the buyer's responsibility to cover the return postage fees. Upon receipt of the returned item, I will issue a refund minus the shipping costs. As a small business, I strive to offer exciting fabrics at competitive prices, but unfortunately, I'm unable to absorb shipping expenses. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.
